Lower gas prices for Memorial day

Expect lower gas prices heading into Memorial Day

If you're lucky enough to live in some parts of the United States, you may see gas pump prices fall to

around $3.25 a gallon or less in the next week or two. Even West Coast drivers should get some relief

from prices that are still above $4 a gallon.

Retail gasoline prices dropped by a penny to a national average of $3.71 per gallon on Friday. That's 22

cents less than the high of $3.94 per gallon reached in early April. Lower oil prices are the main reason.

Weaker demand is also helping to push down prices, as consumers watch their spending in the sluggish

economic recovery.

Motorists on the West Coast, in Illinois and New York are paying the most for gas -- from $3.83 per gallon

to $4.54 per gallon -- according to AAA, Wright Express and the Oil Price Information Service. The lowest

prices, from $3.39 to $3.51 per gallon, were in the South and parts of the Midwest.

Mary Kennedy commits suicide

The curse of the Kennedy women continues apace.  Mary Richardson Kennedy, wife of Robert F.

Kennedy Jr, died of asphyxiation by hanging.  At least Mary Kennedy avoided water this time around.  This poisonous family continues using, abusing, throwing away, and eventually killing the women that get in their perfectly coiffed hair. Let this be a lesson to all aspiring debutantes.  Stay away from the Kennedies.

Excitement builds for the Preakness

Thursday, May 17.

Okay, all you rail birds, and those of you who play the ponies, The Preakness is coming up this Saturday

the 19th.  Preliminary odds on the race have been posted, and just as he was in the first leg of the Triple

Crown, Bodermeister has been installed by oddsmakers as the favorite, at 8 to 5.  I'll Have Another, the

winner of the Kentucky Derby is ranked second at 5 to 2.  Excitement is building for the second leg of the

Spring horse racing classic.  A win by I'll Have Another will give the speedy colt a chance for the first

Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978 when it edged out Alydar in one of the greatest photo finish

duels in the history of horse racing.  For more on this story, be sure to click on the following link:

Stephen Strasburg: Fire Down Below

Stephen Strasburg certainly did not seem like his normal, overpowering self in Tuesday afternoon's loss to the San Diego Padres. He was knocked out of the game after giving up four runs in four innings and seemed out of sorts against the normally light-hitting Padres. Well, it turns out there may have been a good reason for him looking uncomfortable.

Howard Stern Kicks it on America's Got Talent

Howard Stern, self proclaimed "King of all Media," made his

debut last night on the hit show "America's Got Talent."  After his

long time perch on morning drive time radio before moving to

Serius  XM Satellite paid radio format where he could more fully

exploit his penchant for bawdy and sometimes obscene humor,

Howard Stern is back on the air ways where he will continue to

push the envelope of edgy entertainment. Whatever you can say

about what Howard has done in the past, it is definately clear that

Howard's got versatility.
